Bach Tien joined the G3SoilWorks team in 2010, where he currently serves as a Project Geologist. He received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of California, Davis in 2008. He originally began his college career as an applied physics major, however, after taking Earthquakes and California Geology as an elective, was drawn into the geology department … and the rest, as they say, is history!
Bach began his career in engineering geology with Taber Consultants during his college years and after graduation. There he contributed to major facets of bridge seismic retrofit, bridge replacement, and roadway realignment projects across Northern and Central California from a geotechnical engineering / engineering geologic perspective.
Bach has centered his focus at G3SoilWorks on geotechnical site assessments, structural geology, and groundwater investigations. He is particularly adept at soil logging, forensic inspections, and litigation support. Bach’s comprehensive knowledge of California geology and his enthusiastic yet meticulous approach to field work allows him to spearhead G3 projects with efficiency and veracity to deliver results that can be counted on.
When he’s not at work, Bach enjoys basketball, hiking, cooking, and playing board games. His other interests include sustainable / alternative energy and new technology development.
